Faber-Castell E-Motion review, elegant design with a luxorious finish

Faber Castell Emotion complete fountain pen

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Faber-Castell is one of the oldest manufacturers of fountain pens in the world. The company was founded in 1761 and is since famous for their office supplies like pens and pencils. Faber-Castell makes fountain pens which are on the one hand really modern and on the other hand contain beautiful classical elements. The company makes affordable fountain pens, but does also produce luxurious ones under the name ‘Graf von Faber-Castell’. Faber-Castell is a typical German company which focusses on quality and manufactures well made products.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Social company with high productivity

Faber-Castell is a social orientated company that cooperates closely with the labour unions and respects the rights of their employees anywhere in the world. Due to their social responsibility, Faber-Castell is highly respected as a company by the United Nations. Moreover, because of the motivation and commitment of their employees, Faber-Castell’s labour productivity is one of the highest worldwide.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1334″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Good affordable fountain pens of Faber-Castell

Faber Castell Emotion capIt’s really quite simple; Faber-Castell does not make bad fountain pens. Their products are always of excellent quality, even the more affordable ones. The choice for one of the fountain pens of Faber-Castell is therefore a choice between different designs and grip experiences of the pen in your hand.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The Faber-Castell E-motion,

There are various versions of the E-Motion. In my opinion the wooden fountain pens of Faber-Castell are the most beautiful ones. I recommend the dark stained pear wood, from the ‘Graf von Faber-Castell’ collection. The contrast with the wood and the chrome of the pen cap and nib holder looks amazing. The E-Motion is an exceptional design with gradually sloping top and bottom. The clip looks like an elegant clothespin and functions very well. You could clip it into a blazer without having to worry about losing it.

The grip of the E-motion

Personally, I am not very impressed by the grip of the fountain pen. The pen’s nib holder is made of smooth metal and because the pen is gradually sloping it can be a bit slippery. This leads to a grip which is not optimal for writing long texts. While writing, you constantly have the feeling that you are losing your grip on the pen. I would prefer a little curve shaped grip that creates a little resistance for your fingers. Furthermore, I am not really fond of the pen cap. When you place the cap on the back of the fountain pen, you notice the enormous difference in width between the cap and the rest of the pen. It looks like the cap does not belong with the pen which is a shame. Besides, the E-motion is a relatively heavy fountain pen, to compare: the weight of the Faber-Castell E-Motion is five times more than most other pens.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2666″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.lacouronneducomte.nl/luxe/?tt=2387_12_284090_&r=%2Fwebstore%2Fmain%2Findex.php%3Flanguage%3Den” el_class=”bannerbreed”][vc_single_image image=”2714″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.lacouronneducomte.nl/luxe/?tt=2387_12_284090_&r=%2Fwebstore%2Fmain%2Findex.php%3Flanguage%3Den” el_class=”bannersmal”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

How does a Faber-Castell E-motion writes?

The E-Motion has a fantastic nib. The usage of noble metal is often determining the quality of the pen nib. The pen nibs of the Faber-Castell E-Motion are made out of steal and are available in all sort and shapes. Although the pen nibs are not made of gold, they are quite flexible and excellent for daily writing and signing letters. The pen nibs of the Faber-Castell E-motion are not really suitable for calligraphy work. Nevertheless, you could use the pen for calligraphy but I suggest using additional pen nibs. The Faber-Castell E-motion can be filled by normal cartridges, but you can also place a converter. Finally, the clip of the E-motion is perfect, you can transport the fountain pen in all possible ways.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Albert is a Dutch collector of fountain pens, and everything to do with them. He is a real "penthousiast". Next to that he lives with his family in the Netherlands in a quiet part of Noord-Brabant. He spends his spare time writing for this blog (not with a fountain pen unfortunately) and reading books.
